The Student Commission Concludes the Quality Ambassador Workshop (QAW’26)
The Quality Ambassador Workshop (QAW’26) was organised by the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) Student Commission for higher education students who qualified to become quality ambassadors by participating in the QAP’26 – Quality Ambassador Training Program.
170 students from various higher education institutions were invited to the workshop held on 23 June 2026. The event aimed to provide knowledge and skills regarding the operation of THEQC’s institutional external evaluation programs while simultaneously serving as a preliminary preparation for THEQC’s 2026 Evaluator Training. The training coordination of the online workshop was carried out by Res. Asst. Sena Çatal, the THEQC Student Commission Coordinator, and its moderation was conducted by Fatma Derya Arıkan, the Commission Chair, and Nur Sena Altun, Vice Chair, alongside commission members Aybüke Büyüktunçay, Beyzanur Çam, Esma Kazaz, Hasan Ak, İsmail Uzunel, and Kadir Özkan.
In the opening session of the workshop, Sena Çatal and Fatma Derya Arıkan provided information about the purpose of the workshop and the THEQC Rubric.
Subsequently, in the 6-hour workshop conducted in five virtual classrooms using 5 modules, interactive activities were carried out based on a fictional simulation named “Cern Technical University.” These activities covered the use of the THEQC Rubric, the review of the ISER, the operations of evaluation teams, and matters to be considered throughout the processes.
