Prof. Ivan LEBAN

International Adviser Born on 6 July 1947 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. After graduation at University of Ljubljana from Chemistry, D.Phil. degree obtained at Physics Department, University of York, England, from Crystallography in 1973. Elected as Full Professor of Chemistry at University of Ljubljana in 1989, ranking now as 6th chemist in Slovenia with over 200 publications (WOS) and over 3000 citations. Emeritus Professor at University of Ljubljana in 2019. In 2002-2005 he was a Vice-rector of University of Ljubljana and from 2013-2018 a Director of Slovenian Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (SQAA-NAKVIS https://www.nakvis.si/)). SQAA is a full member of ENQA (https://enqa.eu) and registered in EQAR (https://www.eqar.eu/). From 2001-2005 he was promoting Bologna reform at University of Ljubljana, introducing ECTS point system and Diploma Supplement. From 2006-2018 he was external expert - evaluator of EUA IEP (https://www.iep-qaa.org/) doing evaluations of several universities in Slovenia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria, Poland, Portugal, Latvia, Lithuania, Kazakhstan, Russia, Georgia. He was a Vice-Chair of European Consortium of Accreditation (ECA, ecahe.eu) and a Vice-Chair of Central and Eastern European Network of QA Agencies (CEENQA, ceenqa.eu). He is a freelance journalist and is writing about popular science in the local weekly newspaper. Prof. Olgun ÇİÇEK

International Adviser After completing his postgraduate education in England, he started working as a lecturer at Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Business Administration in 1992. He completed his doctorate at the same university and received the title of Assistant Professor in 1998. In 2001, he went abroad and took part in different periods, positions and projects from Department Head to Vice Rector in state and private universities in different countries (TRNC, Dubai, Singapore, Switzerland, England and USA) for 21 years. During this period, he received the title of Associate Professor in Dubai in 2005 and Professor in TRNC in 2013. Finally, he served as a Board Member in KKTCYÖDAK (Higher Education Planning, Supervision, Accreditation and Coordination Board) between 2014-2022. Currently, as an elected Board Member, he is the Vice President of CEENQA (Association of Quality Assurance Agencies for Central and Eastern European Countries) and also the Vice President of IQA (Association of Quality Assurance Agencies for Islamic Countries). In addition, as an elected member; CHEA-CIQG International Advisory Council Member, BAC-British Accreditation Council, Accreditation Committee Member, and an assessor on behalf of many institutional and program accreditation bodies (QAA, NVAO, AQAS, OCQAS etc.) in America, Europe, Middle East and Far East, Consultant in TKTA, Azerbaijan and IAAR, Kazakhstan Quality Assurance Agencies and International assessor and Consultant in YÖKAK. As of April 01, 2022, after 21 years, he was reappointed to his own position in Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Business Administration and at the same time, he started to work as the External Relations Coordinator within DEÜ Rectorate. Ronny HEINTZE

International Adviser Ronny Heintze is a Senior-Consultant at AQAS, the largest German Accreditation agency, where he serves as Commissioner for International Affairs. In his ten years of service he coordinated more then 140 accreditation procedures in- and outside of Germany with a special focus on Joint Programmes. His international experiences cover projects across Europe, Asia, the Arab world and South America. He served as an expert in numerous projects of the European Union with assignments in Egypt and the Republic of Moldova. He is currently representing ENQA in the programme committee of the European Quality Assurance Forum (EQAF) which he chaired in 2019. In 2016 he was appointed chairman of the Working Group on Innovation in Quality Assurance and Accreditation of the European Consortium for Accreditation (ECA) in which he was elected to the board in 2018. Ronny is an agency reviewer for ENQA as well as the global network INQAAHE. He held teaching assignments at the University of Bonn and Erfurt and currently teaches about the United Nations at the University of Trier. Before joining the Quality Assurance community he held executive positions at NMUN in New York, organizing the worlds largest Model UN conference hosted by the United Nations.
