APQN- Asia-Pacific Quality Network
Asia Pacific Quality Network (APQN) was founded in 2003 with the objective of “Dissolving Boundaries for a Quality Region”. Within this objective, the organization conducts its activities in line with the mission of improving quality of higher education in the region that contains more than half of the world population through developing the practices of the quality assurance agencies based in the Asia-Pacific region and improving the cooperation between them. Having 222 members from 41 countries and territories, APQN has become the largest and the most influential international organization on higher education in the region since its establishment.
Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) has successfully completed its full membership application process to APQN on 15 April 2020.
Activities
An international online conference with the theme “Teaching and Learning Quality Assurance in Higher Education under the Pandemic” was held on 25-26 November 2020, in partnership with The Macao Polytechnic Institute (MPI) and APQN. Prof., one of our Board members, attended the conference in question on behalf of YÖKAK. Dr. Sina Ercan participated with her presentation titled “Assessing Students’ Learning Online: It’s More Than Testing”.
