Founded in 1991, INQAAHE is one of the longest-established umbrella organizations for the agencies operating in the field of quality assurance in higher education. The members of the organization are quality agencies that are active in the theory and practice of quality assurance in higher education.

INQAAHE promotes good practice examples for internal and external quality assurance with the Guidelines for Good Practice (GGP) standard. In addition, Marjorie Peace Lenn Center, which offers graduate studies, research opportunities and courses in the field of quality studies, operates under the umbrella of INQAAHE.

Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) has successfully completed its full membership application process to INQAAHE on 31 May 2020.

Activities

In the INQAAHE Newsletter, the 6th edition of which was published by INQAAHE in June 2020, under the title “News from Members”, one of our YÖKAK advisors, Prof. Dr. Buket Akkoyunlu’s short article introducing quality assurance in Turkish higher education has been published.

The 12th INQAAHE Forum, hosted by the Russian quality agency AKKORK, was held online under the title “Quality, Competences and Learning Outcomes: how to be fit for Generation Z employability” between 28 September and 1 October. Prof., one of our Board advisors, attended the forum on behalf of YÖKAK. Dr. Buket Akkoyunlu participated with the presentation titled “Do Turkish Universities’ Undergraduate Programs Build Generation Z Competencies?”
