Information Meeting for Quality Commissions of Higher Education Institutions Was Held

The Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) continues its studies on establishing internal quality assurance systems of higher education institutions and disseminating quality process and culture. In this context, THEQC held an information meeting for the quality commissions of higher education institutions, consisting of morning and afternoon sessions, on 15 March 2023.

The meeting, to which all higher education institutions were invited and in which 801 participants took part, started with the opening speech of Prof. Muhsin Kar, THEQC President, and his presentation on ”Quality Assurance in Higher Education”. In the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dilek Avşaroğlu Erkan addressed the issues to be considered while writing the Institutional Self-Evaluation Reports for the year 2022, and Asst. Prof. Gonca Uludağ informed the participants of the Institutional Self-Evaluation Writing Guide (Version 3.1).

Rectors and the senior governing body of the higher education institutions attended the meeting that ended after the participants’ questions were answered. Institutional Self-Evaluation Report (ISER) is an annual report written by higher education institutions to monitor their quality assurance processes pertinent to their learning and teaching, research, service to society activities, and administrative services. Then, the reports are shared with the public.
