THEQC’s Student Evaluators Gather in an Online Meeting

Student evaluators took part in the evaluation teams within the scope of the 2022 Institutional Accreditation and Follow-up Programs gathered in an online event organised by the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) Students Commission on 16 March 2023.

Thirty-six student evaluators from different higher education institutions participated in the event, which aimed to share the experience of evaluator students and contribute to updating the content of the 2023 Quality Ambassador Training Program.

The content and activities of the program, which consisted of a three-hour peer learning process in four virtual classrooms, were developed by Asst. Prof. Gonca Uludağ, THEQC Expert and Academic Coordinator of the Students Commission. The event started with the opening speech of Erdoğan Taha Akbaş, Chair of THEQC Students Commission. The participants participated in the discussions on the gains of the experience of taking part in the evaluation teams in the virtual classrooms and the suggestions for improvement regarding the evaluation process. The Commission members acted as moderators during the discussions. Each class spokesperson shared the presentations created in the classrooms in accordance with the instructions with all the participants in the main hall. The meeting ended after a questions-and-answers session, general assessment, and feedback collection.
