THEQC Students Commission Participates in a Webinar Organised by the European University Association (EUA)

Erdoğan Taha Akbaş, Chair of the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) Students Commission, Ahmet Kayhan Korkusuz, Commission Vice-Chair, and Berkay Tarım, Esra Köyönü, Ezgi Ayar, Mehmet Sezer Altun, Meliha Taşdemir, and Melike Gülay, the Commission members, attended as listener to the online event on “Looking Inside the Digital Higher Education: Launch of Self-Assessment Guide for Institutions” held by the European University Association (EUA) on 14 February 2023.

With the event, the importance of digitalization in higher education, which ensures the continuation of education especially during the pandemic process, was emphasized.

Michael Gaebel, EUA Director of Higher Education Policy, stated that their European Project DIGI-HE was extended until April 2023 and informed the participants of the activities carried out within the scope of the project. Emphasizing the importance of this project in order to be open to continuous improvement in education, Gaebel shared the literature studies on self-assessment tools for digitalization in education.

Alisson Morissroe, EUA President, talked about the workshops held within the scope of the project and presented the data studies on universities participating in the digital education ecosystem after these efforts.
