The 9th Workshop on “Students' Quality Societies in the Internal Quality Assurance System: Role and Contributions” Held at Marmara University
The 9th of the workshop series, titled “Students’ Quality Societies in the Internal Quality Assurance System: Role and Contributions,” was held on 2 December 2022 with the participation of Marmara University students.
Asst. Prof. Gonca Uludağ, the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) Expert and THEQC Students Commission Academic Coordinator, who created the workshop’s content and participated in the process as a trainer; Erdoğan Taha Akbaş, THEQC Students Commission member, who participated in the process as a peer trainer, and 44 graduate students attended the workshop that lasted six hours.
The students carried out a SWOT analysis study specific to the Health Sciences Institute in the workshop, which aimed to help students realize themselves as a driving force in higher education, an essential aspect of quality assurance in higher education, and to spread the quality culture among the students. According to the feedback survey conducted at the end of the workshop in which students shared their opinions, improvement suggestions, and evidential examples, it was determined that the study achieved its purpose. Stating that the workshop was very effective for students, Prof. Feyza Arıcıoğlu, Director of Marmara University Health Sciences Institute, conveyed her thanks to the THEQC Students Commission.
