The 8th Workshop on “Students' Quality Societies in the Internal Quality Assurance System: Role and Contributions” Held at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University
The 8th of the workshop series, titled “Students’ Quality Societies in the Internal Quality Assurance System: Role and Contributions,” and conducted to help students internalize the role of students as the striking stakeholders in the internal quality assurance system in higher education in the processes, and their contributions to the system was held on 30 November 2022 at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University with the participation of the university’s students’ quality society member students.
Asst. Prof. Gonca Uludağ, the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) Expert and THEQC Students Commission Academic Coordinator, who created the workshop’s content and participated in the process as a trainer; Erdoğan Taha Akbaş, THEQC Students Commission member, who participated in the process as a peer trainer, and 21 students attended the workshop that lasted six hours.
As a result of the feedback survey conducted after the workshop in which the role of students’ quality societies in quality assurance processes, the importance and ways of student involvement in the processes, and effective solution suggestions for improvements in the aspects of the institution that are open to improvement were shared, it was concluded that the students enjoyed the activity, learned new things, and their knowledge about quality assurance increased, thus, it was determined that the workshop achieved its purpose.
