Prof. Muhsin Kar, THEQC President, Presents the Institutional Accreditation Certificate to Selçuk University
The Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) presented the Institutional Accreditation Certificate to Selçuk University at a ceremony within the scope of the 2021 Institutional Accreditation Program conducted by THEQC.
Prof. Muhsin Kar, THEQC President; Prof. Metin Aksoy, Selçuk University Rector; Prof. Mustafa Çufalı, THEQC Vice-President; high-level provincial administrators; university’s governing body; academic and administrative personnel, and students attended the ceremony held at Sultan Alparslan Cultural Centre on 22 November 2022.
President Kar gave information about the Institutional Accreditation Program (IAP) that has been conducted by THEQC since 2020 and stated that THEQC aimed to evaluate all higher education institutions in Türkiye until 2027 within the scope of IAP, which started with the evaluation of 11 universities in 2020. Stating that higher education institutions should have a quality assurance system that is strong, functioning, and based on the understanding of continuous improvement, President Kar continued his speech by giving detailed information on the functioning of THEQC’s institutional evaluation processes.
Rector Aksoy started his speech by thanking those who contributed to the works for obtaining the Institutional Accreditation Certificate. Rector Aksoy mentioned the university’s work within its body in the field of quality assurance and said that the university was trying to take itself to a much better place among others.
After the speeches from high-level administrators, President Kar presented the Institutional Accreditation Certificate to Rector Aksoy.
