THEQC Workshop on Quality Assurance in Graduate Education Is Held at Yıldız Technical University

The Workshop on Quality Assurance in Graduate Education was organised by the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) at Yıldız Technical University on 16 May 2025 for the graduate schools of health, science, social and educational sciences.

In 2021, a pilot study was conducted on the evaluation program for graduate schools of health sciences. In this context, a workshop on quality assurance in graduate education was organised with the participation of the directors or deputy directors of the graduate schools of health, science, social and educational sciences of higher education institutions that received full accreditation for five years to extend this practice to graduate schools granting graduate diplomas.

In the all-day workshop, the graduate school evaluation criteria were studied, and stakeholders from different disciplines evaluated the suitability and consistency of the sub-criteria in terms of evaluating the quality assurance of graduate education processes, the extent to which the sub-criteria meet the needs of different graduate schools, especially their compliance with the 7th and 8th level qualifications, and whether there is a need for new sub-criteria.

The workshop ended with the presentation of the recommendations of all groups.
