Prof. Ümit Kocabıçak, THEQC President, Attends the EFQM Certification Ceremony at Kırşehir Ahi Evran University
Prof. Ümit Kocabıçak, President of the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC), attended the ceremony organised for the “5-Star Outstanding Performance Certificate” awarded to Kırşehir Ahi Evran University by the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM).
Prof. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, KAEU Rector; Prof. Vatan Karakaya, KAEU Former Rector and THEQC Council Member; provincial administrators; academic and administrative personnel of the university; students and several guests attended the ceremony.
Prof. Karahocagil, Prof. Karakaya and Prof. Hüseyin Şimşek, KAEU Vice-Rector, delivered the opening speeches of the ceremony.
Prof. Kocabıçak made a presentation on “Quality Assurance System Work in Higher Education.” Mentioning the studies aimed at disseminating quality culture and increasing quality assurance practices in higher education, Prof. Kocabıçak stated that THEQC aims to accredit all universities in Türkiye in accordance with its quality assurance standards. President Kocabıçak noted that it is important for universities to determine appropriate learning and teaching standards together with all their internal and external stakeholders for its quality assurance process in higher education to achieve success.
