A Delegation of Sudanese Higher Education Institutions Visits THEQC
A delegation of managers/directors and administrative staff of Al Neelain University, Eldaein University and Sinnar University, which operate in Sudan, paid a working visit to the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC).
A meeting was held at THEQC on 17 January 2023, with the participation of the delegation of managers/directors and administrative staff of the Coordinator’s Offices for Education, Planning, Follow-up and Evaluation, the Coordinator’s Offices for Institutional Communications, the Departments of Personnel, the Registrar’s Offices, the Departments of Administrative and Financial Affairs, and the Foreign Relations Departments of Al Neelain, Eldaein and Sinnar universities.
Prof. Muhsin Kar, THEQC President; Prof. Mustafa Çufalı, THEQC Vice-President, and THEQC academic experts attended the meeting in which the visiting delegation was informed about the quality assurance framework in Türkiye and the quality assurance activities performed by THEQC for the Turkish higher education institutions. Dr Yasemin Yelbay Yılmaz, THEQC Academic Expert, made a presentation on the scope of quality assurance in higher education, the quality assurance framework in Türkiye, and the quality assurance work in the world and Assoc. Prof. Dilek Avşaroğlu, THEQC Academic Expert, on the establishment, duties and authorities of THEQC and the details of the quality assurance work in Turkish higher education.
After a questions-and-answers session, the Sudanese delegation informed participants about the quality assurance work in higher education in Sudan.
