THEQC and the British Council Review Current Collaborations and Discuss Possible Joint Works
ANKARA – Charlie Walker, Director of Global Network; Nilgün Yalçın, Deputy Country Director, and Ayşen Güven, Education Director from the British Council, visited Prof. Muhsin Kar, President of the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC), in his office.
During the visit, THEQC and the British Council exchanged views on the possible collaborations between the two institutions to conduct new joint works and reviewed the previous joint works.
A Memorandum of Understanding had been signed by the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council, which evaluates the quality levels of higher education institutions’ learning and teaching and research activities along with administrative services according to national and international quality standards, carries out internal and external quality assurance and accreditation processes, and authorises independent external evaluation institutions, and the British Council, which is responsible for cultural relations and educational opportunities of the United Kingdom, in 2021. The MoU with a 2-year term includes collaboration in other fields of activity that provide mutual benefit to the parties.
