The Quality Ambassador Workshop (QAW'22) for Higher Education Students is Held
“Quality Ambassador Workshop (QAW’22)” was held by the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) Students Commission for the students who were entitled to become quality ambassadors by participating in the “Quality Ambassador Training Program (QAP’22).”
One hundred and four students were invited to the workshop that was held on 14 March 2022 to have students acquire the knowledge and skills about the functioning of THEQC Institutional External Evaluation Programs and prepare them for THEQC Evaluator Training in 2022. Also, the preparatory training was given to the moderators between 10-12 March 2022 before the workshop.
The workshop, conducted in four virtual classrooms for seven hours, started with the brief information given by Asst. Prof. Gonca ULUDAĞ about the purpose and schedule of the workshop and the THEQC Rubric. Subsequently, the participants were directed to the virtual classes and participated in interactive activities related to the use of the THEQC Rubric through the fictional simulation activity named “Institutional External Evaluation of Planet University”, the assessment of an ISER, the works of the evaluation teams, the issues to be considered in the processes, and the report writing. Eighty-two quality ambassadors, including three associate, 57 undergraduate, 14 graduate, and eight doctorate students from 46 different higher education institutions, who became successful in the workshop, were awarded certificates of participation.
