Cooperation Protocol Signed Between THEQC and Azerbaijan Education Quality Assurance Agency

ANKARA – The protocol for cooperation in the field of quality assurance in higher education between the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) and the Education Quality Assurance Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (EQAA) was signed by the THEQC President Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Elmas and the EQAA Chair Mr. Eldar Orujov.

Prof. Dr. Elmas, Mr. Orujov and also the Director of Qualification Recognition Department of EQAA Nicat Esedli, the Deputy Director of Quality Assurance Department of EQAA İlham Hümbetov, the Vice President of THEQC Prof. Dr. Sibel Aksu Yıldırım, the Council Member Prof. Dr. Sina Ercan, the Council Consultant Prof. Dr. Buket Akkoyunlu, Academic Experts Assoc. Dr. Dilek Avşaroğlu Erkan and Assoc. Dr. Salih Bardakcı and the council staff attended to the protocol signing ceremony held at THEQC in Ankara.

According to the protocol, it is aimed to carry out joint studies and develop cooperation in the field of higher education quality assurance between Turkey and Azerbaijan. The protocol includes topics such as cooperation in the field of institutional external evaluation and institutional accreditation of higher education institutions, sharing experience on the training of external evaluators involved in institutional evaluation and accreditation processes, supporting the mobility and exchange of external evaluators and experts, and creating a cooperation mechanism that will be beneficial for both institutions.
