The Quality Assurance System and Student Involvement Seminars in Higher Education Successfully Completed
The webinar series organized by the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) Student Commission to raise awareness of higher education students on quality assurance in higher education has been successfully completed.
The webinar series, comprised of online seminars that were held in 14 universities, aimed at raising awareness about the quality assurance system in higher education, the THEQC, the THEQC Student Commission and their studies, and how students can be involved in these processes. While there were 2 thousand 265 participants in the seminars, 10 thousand 137 YouTube views were noted and 12 thousand 402 people benefited from the events.
The webinar series started at Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University, and continued with Giresun, Trakya, Kırşehir Ahi Evran, Mardin Artuklu, Kütahya Dumlupınar, Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt, Muğla Sıtkı Koçman, Alanya Alaadin Keykubat, Muş Alparslan, İstanbul Arel, Hacettepe, Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal and Sakarya Applied Sciences universities.
In addition to students, rectors, vice-rectors, quality coordinators, academic and administrative unit managers and academic and administrative staff also participated in the events. In the seminars, speeches were made by THEQC Student Commission Academic Coordinator Asst. Prof. Dr. Gonca Uludağ, and THEQC Council Member and Student Commission Chair Mehmet Bora, THEQC Student Commission Vice President Sena Çatal, commission members Simge Ayyıldız, Aleyna Feraye Yılmaz, Muhammed İyisan, and Fatma Ayvat in various events, and the questions of the participants were answered. The seminars were also broadcast live on the universities’ own institutional YouTube channels.
