Higher Education Institutions Student Quality Commissions Members Meeting

The online seminar titled “Quality Assurance System and Student Involvement in Higher Education” organized by the THEQC Student Commission for the purpose of peer learning for student members in the quality commissions of higher education institutions was held on May 24, 2021.

In the seminar where student members from 171 different higher education institutions participated, the THEQC Student Commission Academic Coordinator Asst. Prof. Dr. Gonca ULUDAĞ gave information about the quality assurance system in higher education, the structure of the THEQC, its fields of activity and the studies carried out. In the seminar which continued in 5 virtual classrooms under the moderation of the THEQC Student Commission members Mehmet BORA, Sena ÇATAL, Muhammed İYİSAN, Aleyna Feraye YILMAZ, Simge AYYILDIZ, and Furkan DURU, information was given regarding the structure of the THEQC Student Commission, how students can participate in higher education quality assurance works, quality commissions in higher education institutions, what the student members can do in their own institutions and their missions in the process. At the end of the seminar, the questions of the participating students were answered. The activity was held for two hours and thirty minutes, and it was observed that the students were enthusiastic about coming together more often. This is desirable in terms of increasing awareness of student participation in higher education quality assurance processes in our country.
