Quality Ambassador Workshop (QAW’21) for Higher Education Students is Held
“Quality Ambassador Workshop (QAW’21)” was held by the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) Students Commission on 24 March 2021 for preliminary preparation to THEQC 2021 Evaluator Training. Students, who were entitled to become quality ambassadors by participating in the “Quality Ambassador Training Program (QAP)” between 5-20 February 2021 attended the workshop.
THEQC Students Commission’s Academic Coordinator Asst. Prof. Gonca Uludağ conducted the educational coordination of the workshop, and the moderation was conducted by the Commission members, namely Mehmet Bora, Sena Çatal, Aleyna Feraye Yilmaz, Burak Tunahan Ekincikli, Fatma Ayvat, Furkan Duru, Hatice Kübra Erdoğan, Muhammed Iyisan, And Simge Ayyildiz. Also, a moderator training was given between 19-22 March 2021 in preparation for the workshop.
The workshop, which was conducted in four virtual classrooms for seven hours, started with Asst. Prof. Gonca Uludağ’s information briefing about the purpose and schedule of the workshop, and THEQC Rubric. Subsequently, the participants, who were directed to the virtual classes, participated in interactive activities related to the use of the THEQC Rubric through the fictional simulation activity named “External Evaluation of Neptune University”, the review of an ISER, the studies of the evaluation teams, the processes to be considered in the processes and the writing of IFR. At the end of the workshop, Asst. Prof. Gonca Uludağ delivered a closing speech. She thanked the participants and the members of THEQC Students Commission, who contributed to the process with great devotion. Forty-one quality ambassadors, including 24 undergraduate, ten graduate and seven doctorate students from 31 different higher education institutions became successful in the workshop and were awarded with certificates of participation.
