Call for Application: THEQC Student Member
Dear Higher Education Students,
Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) was established to structure and strengthen quality assurance systems in Turkish higher education and is in charge of the institutional external evaluation processes of higher education institutions, authorization of national program accreditation agencies, recognition of international accreditation agencies, and dissemination and internalization of the quality assurance culture. The Council is a public legal personality.
The Council consists of 13 members and one of the members is a higher education student. Due to the expiration of the current student member’s term of office, a new student member will be elected to the Council in accordance with the Article No. 5 of the Regulation on Higher Education Quality Assurance and the Higher Education Quality Council. The documents for membership applications can be submitted in zip file format to basvuru@yokak.gov.tr by 17:00 on Wednesday, 20 January 2021. The result will be announced on https://yokak.gov.tr/.
Application conditions
All students enrolled in a higher education institution operating in Turkey and meeting the conditions stated below can apply for Turkish Higher Education Quality Council student membership.
- To be a second or third year student for undergraduate students in 4-year programs, to be a second, third or fourth year student for undergraduate students in 5-year programs, to be a second, third, fourth or fifth year student for students in 6-year programs; being in the course period for graduate students,
- Having a GPA of 2.00 and above,
- Not having a criminal record,
- Not having received disciplinary punishment,
- Not freezing registration during the period of application,
- Not being affiliated with or having contact with terrorist organizations,
Documents Required for Application

- Identity document,
- Student certificate,
- Criminal record,
- Current transcript,
- Letter of intent that presents evidence of knowledge and experience regarding quality assurance activities (to be submitted in PDF format),
- Documentation presenting knowledge and experience in national and international social and cultural events,
- Documentation showing foreign language levels.
