President Kocabıçak Presents the Institutional Accreditation Certificate to Anadolu University

Prof. Ümit Kocabıçak, President of the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC), presented the Institutional Accreditation Certificate to Anadolu University, which was accredited within the scope of the Institutional Accreditation Program, at a ceremony.

Attending the certificate presentation ceremony held at the Anadolu University Rectorate Senate Room on 23 July 2026, President Kocabıçak presented the Institutional Accreditation Certificate to Anadolu University Rector Prof. Yusuf Adıgüzel. The university management and quality commission were also present at the ceremony.

Following the certificate presentation, an evaluation meeting for the members of the University Senate and Quality Commission was held in the university’s Senate Hall with the participation of President Kocabıçak. Drawing attention to the fact that higher education in the world is being reshaped by technologies such as artificial intelligence, President Kocabıçak noted that the importance of the Institutional Accreditation Program conducted by THEQC for higher education institutions in Türkiye has increased in this process. Stating that quality assurance in higher education has become a fundamental element in issues such as international recognition, student mobility, and global competitiveness, Kocabıçak stated that THEQC continues its efforts resolutely to develop the quality culture and expand the quality assurance system in Turkish higher education.

Rector Adıgüzel stated that they view the quality assurance system not merely as a study conducted in specific periods but as a part of a sustainable management approach encompassing all areas from learning and teaching to research activities, service to society, and governance processes, and thanked all academic and administrative staff who contributed to the accreditation process.
