President Kocabıçak Presents Institutional Accreditation Certificate to İstanbul Rumeli University

Prof. Ümit Kocabıçak, President of the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC), presented the Institutional Accreditation Certificate to İstanbul Rumeli University, which was accredited within the scope of the Institutional Accreditation Program, at a ceremony.

Prof. Mustafa Kara, İstanbul Rumeli University Rector, university senior management, and numerous academic and administrative staff attended the ceremony held at the university’s Mehmet Balcı Campus Akın Akkan Conference Hall on 8 July 2026.

President Kocabıçak made an evaluation regarding the importance of quality assurance and accreditation in the higher education system. Drawing attention to the fact that digital transformation and technologies such as artificial intelligence increase the importance of accreditation in higher education, President Kocabıçak noted that correctly integrating artificial intelligence into educational processes and using it for the right purposes in today’s rapidly developing technological landscape will provide tremendous advantages for students and the academic system. Prof. Kocabıçak added that the sustainability of quality in higher education depends on correctly managing such innovative approaches and digital transformation.

Following the speeches, President Kocabıçak presented the Institutional Accreditation Certificate to Rector Prof. Mustafa Kara.
