A face-to-face moderator training was held in Ankara on 22 April 2026, by the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) Student Commission to strengthen student involvement in higher education quality assurance processes and to contribute to the dissemination of the quality culture.
The training, which served as a preparation for the Quality Ambassador Training Program and the subsequent workshop processes, aimed to develop participants’ skills in moderation, facilitation, and effective discussion management. Within the scope of the program, basic concepts of quality assurance processes, the evidence-based evaluation approach, and group work dynamics were addressed.
In the training, which included THEQC Student Commission members, participants’ active participation was ensured through application-oriented sessions and simulation studies. Through the group work carried out during the training, participants gained moderation practice while also having the opportunity to develop effective communication and guidance skills in quality processes.
With this training, the THEQC Student Commission continues its efforts to support students in taking a more active role in higher education quality assurance processes and to disseminate the quality culture.
