The 2nd THEQC International Conference on Quality Assurance and Accreditation will be held in Istanbul in September 2026.
Building on the first conference held in 2024, this year’s event will focus on key topics, such as the redesign of quality assurance systems during the digital transformation process, the development of AI-supported quality policies, the strengthening of data-driven decision-making mechanisms, and the transformation of institutional governance models. Additionally, digital quality assurance platforms, performance monitoring systems, big data-based early warning mechanisms, and learning analytics applications will be among the main discussion areas of the conference.
Regarding internationalization, quality assurance in cross-border higher education activities, quality processes of joint and dual degree programs, recognition mechanisms in the context of micro-credentials and lifelong learning, and the comparative analysis of global quality standards will be addressed. At the same time, issues regarding the ethical, secure, and human-centric use of artificial intelligence in quality assurance systems will be comprehensively discussed within the framework of transparency, explainability, data privacy, academic integrity, and algorithmic bias risks.
The main goal of the conference is to address quality assurance not merely as an assessment tool, but as a holistic system that supports institutional learning, encourages sustainable development, and establishes a trust-based governance approach. In this direction, innovative quality assurance models, future university structures, and digitised external quality assurance processes will constitute the main agenda of the conference.
It is expected that the 2nd THEQC International Conference on Quality Assurance and Accreditation, to be held in Istanbul in September 2026, will contribute significantly to strengthening the quality culture in higher education, bringing national experience together with an international perspective, and deepening cooperation among stakeholders.
