President Kocabıçak Presents the Institutional Accreditation Certificate to Adıyaman University

Prof. Ümit Kocabıçak, President of the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC), presented the Institutional Accreditation Certificate to Adıyaman University, which was accredited within the scope of the Institutional Accreditation Program.

Attending the certificate presentation ceremony held at the Adıyaman University Senate Hall on 6 August 2026, President Kocabıçak presented the accreditation certificate to Rector Prof. Mehmet Keleş. The university management, senate members, and quality commission members were also present at the ceremony.

Delivering the opening speech of the event, Rector Keleş expressed that the institutional accreditation certificate is a significant milestone in their quality journey as a university, and conveyed his thanks to THEQC and President Kocabıçak for their contributions to strengthening the quality assurance culture in higher education institutions and their guidance during the accreditation process.

In his speech, President Kocabıçak stated that the Institutional Accreditation Program is an important external quality assurance mechanism that enables the evaluation of the quality assurance, learning and teaching, research and development, service to society, and governance processes of higher education institutions with a holistic approach.

Noting that accreditation processes strengthen the continuous improvement culture of institutions, President Kocabıçak also drew attention to the change experienced in higher education, stating that artificial intelligence, digital transformation, sustainability, lifelong learning, and skills-oriented education are now among the main agenda items for universities.
