President Kocabıçak Participates in the 44th Engineering Deans Council Meeting

Prof. Ümit Kocabıçak, President of the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC), attended the 44th Engineering Deans Council (MDK) Meeting hosted by the Faculty of Engineering at Atılım University.

The meeting, which took place on November 21-22, 2025, was attended by many deans of engineering faculties from universities in Türkiye. The meeting started with the opening speeches by Prof. Yılser Devrim, MDK Secretary General, and Prof. Serkan Eryılmaz, Atılım University Rector.

Making a presentation titled “The Importance of Accreditation in Engineering” at the meeting, President Kocabıçak provided detailed information on quality assurance systems in higher education, accreditation processes, and dissemination of quality culture.

Prof. Tuncay Döğeroğlu, Member of the Presidential Educational Policy Board, also made a presentation titled “Transforming Engineering Education” at the meeting. The meeting continued with sessions that included panels and presentations on different topics.
