Prof. Ümit Kocabıçak, President of the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC), attended the International Symposium on Artificial Intelligence and Hypermedia at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University.

Following the symposium opening speeches, President Kocabıçak made a presentation on “Quality Assurance Systems in Higher Education and the Impact of Artificial Intelligence.” He stated in his speech that 22% of jobs will be transformed by 2030 with the impact of artificial intelligence, and said, “This transformation should not only mobilize the business world but also universities.”
“The ‘Future of Jobs Report 2025’ published by the World Economic Forum sheds light on the rapidly changing dynamics of the labour market. Innovative curricula focusing on areas, such as artificial intelligence, data science and cybersecurity should be developed. Students should be provided with green skills through programs focused on renewable energy and sustainability. Skills such as analytical thinking, creativity, flexibility and leadership are areas where people make a difference in the digital world. Universities should invest in these competencies,” continued President Kocabıçak.
The symposium continued with panels and sessions organised after the opening speeches.
