Introductory and Information Meeting Held Between THEQC and Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA)

Upon the request of the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), an online introductory and information meeting was held between the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) and MQA on 6 May 2025.

The meeting was attended by MQA Head of International Unit Muhammad Hasfarizal Kamaludin, THEQC International Relations Coordinator Dr. Ayşegül Kozak Çakır, and members of the international relations commissions of both institutions.

During the meeting, the two agencies shared basic information about their respective quality assurance systems. THEQC also provided details on its membership in ENQA and EQAR, as well as its recently launched International Institutional Accreditation Program. The discussion focused on similarities between the two agencies and explored potential areas for cooperation.

As a preliminary meeting, the session laid the groundwork for future collaboration. It was agreed that the next steps would include more detailed presentations on the external quality assurance processes of both institutions, and that MQA would receive further information on THEQC’s new International Institutional Accreditation Program.

Additionally, following institutional presentations, both parties agreed to identify concrete areas of collaboration.
