President Ümit Kocabıçak Attends the Workshop on Restructuring and Accreditation Organised by the Inter-University Council’s Art Branches Education Council

Prof. Ümit Kocabıçak, President of the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC), attended the “Workshop on Restructuring and Accreditation” of the Inter-university Council’s (IUC) Art Branches Education Council (ABEC) hosted by Afyon Kocatepe University.

The opening ceremony of the workshop was held at Afyon Kocatepe University’s Ahmet Necdet Sezer Campus on 14 February 2025. At the opening ceremony of the workshop, President Kocabıçak made a presentation on quality assurance processes in higher education in Türkiye and the world as well as the activities of THEQC. In his speech, he mentioned the advantages of practices such as institutional external evaluation and institutional accreditation carried out by THEQC, emphasising the importance of quality assurance systems in higher education for universities.
