President Kocabıçak Attends the International Summit on Technology, R&D, and Quality in Education in Istanbul

Prof. Ümit Kocabıçak, President of the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC), attended the “International Summit on Technology, R&D, and Quality in Education” organised by the Ministry of National Education to introduce the developments in technology in education, R&D activities in education and quality in education in the international arena, to share exemplary studies with the world public opinion and to prepare the ground for collaborations and visibility activities by bringing together leading national and international institutions in these fields.

Participating in the first panel on “Quality in Education and Outstanding Practices in the R&D Process” within the scope of the summit held at the Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar Congress and Exhibition Centre on 5-7 September 2024, President Kocabıçak talked about the activities of THEQC and the quality assurance system in Turkish higher education. The panel was moderated by the Head of R&D, Project and Monitoring Department of the Directorate of Strategy Development. Assoc. Prof. Cengiz Arıcı, Head of TUBITAK Research Support Programs Department, Dr Mehmet Erdem Güney, VQA Vice-President, and Prof. Şule Itır Satoğlu, Council Member and Vice-Rector of Istanbul Technical University, were present as panellists along with President Kocabıçak.
