THEQC Attends the ENQA General Assembly Meeting in Ireland
The 2023 General Assembly Meeting of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) was held in Dublin, Ireland between 25-27 October 2023, in order to provide concrete links between quality assurance and recognition.
Assoc. Prof. Ayşegül Kozak Çakır, Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) Expert and International Relations Coordinator attended the meeting, which was held with a focus on understanding the latest policy developments and approaches.
In interactive sub-sessions at ENQA 2023, organised in collaboration with Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI), participants had the opportunity to contribute to ENQA’s message to Bologna Process ministers, reflect on and provide feedback on ENQA’s targeted review methodology, assess ESG 2015, and participate in presentations and working groups on topics such as the future of education and academic integrity.
The Forum allowed the THEQC expert to share information with the representatives of many quality agencies, especially ENQA, EQAR, UNESCO, QQI, TKTA, IKCA, QQA, AQAS, ANVUR, NOKUT, and ARACIS, and she also gave information about the developments in THEQC.
As a member of ENQA, THEQC voted for five new members and two vice presidents to be elected to the ENQA board of directors at the ENQA 2023 General Assembly meeting. Daniela Cristina Ghițulică (ARACIS, Romania) and Doris Herrmann (AQAS, Germany) were re-elected for their second full three-year terms, while Péter Levente Lakatos (MAB, Hungary) was re-elected for his first three-year term.
