THEQC Holds Feedback Meetings for the 2022 Evaluation Programs

The Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) held Feedback Meetings for 2022 Evaluation Programs.

Rectors of higher education institutions involved in the Institutional External Evaluation Program, Follow-up Program, and Institutional Accreditation Program carried out by THEQC for the year 2022, team leaders who took part in evaluation programs, and the team member academicians participated in the meetings held online on 12-13 June 2023.

Prof. Mustafa Çufalı, THEQC Vice-President, moderated the meetings in which Prof. Feyza Arıcıoğlu, THEQC Council Member, made a presentation on the status of the universities, considering the feedback for the 2022 THEQC Evaluation Programs.

Prof. Çufalı stated that THEQC evaluated three higher education institutions within the scope of the Institutional External Evaluation Program (IEEP) in 2022 and conveyed that 188 higher education institutions were evaluated as of 2022 in the scope of this program. Stating that 43 higher education institutions were included in the Follow-up Program in 2022, Prof. Çufalı noted that as of 2023, 145 higher education institutions were included in the Follow-up Program. Expressing that all Evaluation Programs, especially the Institutional Accreditation Program, will continue to be carried out, Prof. Çufalı added that THEQC started the Mid-term Evaluation Program this year.

The meetings continued with a questions-and-answers session and the exchange of information.
