How Can Students Apply to the ESU Quality Assurance Student Experts’ Pool?

The Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) Students Commission broadcast a live feed on “How Can We Apply to ESU Quality Assurance Student Experts’ Pool?” under the moderation of Melike Gülay, THEQC Students Commission member, through @kaliteelcisi Instagram account on 3 May 2023.

Erdoğan Taha Akbaş, THEQC Students Commission Chair, and Berkay Tarım, THEQC Students Commission member, who have been members of the ESU Quality Assurance Student Experts’ Pool since July 2022, attended as speakers and shared their experience with the participants. Fifty-three participants took part in the event, which was held to inform students of ESU’s call for membership for the 2023-2024 period. Akbaş and Tarım answered the questions of the participants and wished success to the candidate students.

What is ESU?

ESU is an umbrella organisation of 45 National Unions of Students from 40 countries, representing approximately 20 million students. Of 73 members of the ESU Quality Assurance Student Experts’ Pool, ten members are student representatives from Türkiye, and two of these ten members are members of the THEQC Students Commission. ESU is accepting new student member applications to the pool until 20 May 2023.
