Prof. Muhsin Kar, President of the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC), attended as a speaker at the conference on “Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education” hosted by Osmaniye Korkut Ata University.
The academic and administrative staff of the university attended the conference held on 26 January 2023 at Osmaniye Korkut Ata University Rector’s Office Conference Hall. Prof. Turgay Uzun, Rector of Osmaniye Korkut Ata University, gave the opening speech at the conference.
President Kar gave a speech on “Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education” at the conference. During his speech about quality and quality assurance, President Kar mentioned that the global trends in higher education, which recently changed, substantially increased the importance of quality assurance in higher education.
President Kar gave detailed information to the participants about Quality Assurance in Higher Education, Quality Perception of Stakeholders, Objectives of Quality Assurance, Quality Assurance Systems, THEQC and the Quality Assurance Framework, Quality Assurance and Accreditation Practices in his speech.
President Kar answered questions from the academic and administrative personnel after his speech. The conference ended with the presentation of a commemorative plaque by Rector Uzun to President Kar.
