THEQC Publishes the 2021 Higher Education Evaluation and Quality Assurance Status Report

ANKARA – “The 2021 Higher Education Evaluation and Quality Assurance Status Report,” written by the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) with an analysis of external evaluations conducted for higher education institutions in 2021, is published.

THEQC, which aims to strengthen the quality assurance system in the field of higher education to contribute to the continuous development of higher education institutions in Türkiye and help individuals attain universal qualifications, has carried out the external evaluation of higher education institutions with the Institutional External Evaluation Program, Follow-up Program, Institutional Accreditation Program, and Mid-term Evaluation processes since 2016.

As a result of the external evaluations of higher education institutions in 2021, THEQC analysed the reports of all programs and created the 2021 Higher Education Evaluation and Quality Assurance Status Report. In addition to analyses on the continuous improvement and development of higher education institutions, the report gives suggestions to several stakeholders, such as policy developers and decision-makers, governing bodies in the higher education system, business world and alumni, higher education institutions, accreditation agencies, and researchers.
