THEQC becomes a member of Council for Higher Education Accreditation / International Quality Group (CHEA/CIQG)

Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) has been approved as a member of International Quality Group (CIQG) by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) for 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 periods.

Based in Washington (USA), CHEA is widely regarded as an umbrella organization for higher education institutions, accreditation bodies and quality assurance agencies. Launched in 1996, the board focuses on adding value to higher education through international and national cooperation and expertise sharing.

Recently expanding its boundaries and connections to Europe with ENQA, as well as Asia pacific region with APQN, THEQC is proud to have a new worldwide contact point to Turkish Higher Education with CIQC.

As a part of the cooperation between CIQG and THEQC, parts will be working on many topics such as mutual policy sharing, collaboration and consultancy studies, access to group-specific research resources and reports, as well as representation at international events.

 We’d like to give special thanks to our Council members, consultants, and stakeholders for their hard work and dedication throughout the CHEA-CIQG process. We hope that this membership will bring new opportunities for the Turkish higher education system.
