President Kocabıçak Presents the Institutional Accreditation Certificate to Malatya Turgut Özal University

Prof. Ümit Kocabıçak, President of the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC), presented the Institutional Accreditation Certificate to Malatya Turgut Özal University, which was accredited within the scope of the Institutional Accreditation Program.

Attending the certificate presentation ceremony held at the Malatya Turgut Özal University Yeşilyurt Campus Life Centre Meeting Hall on 6 August 2026, President Kocabıçak presented the Institutional Accreditation Certificate to Rector Prof. Recep Bentli. The university management, senate members, and academic and administrative staff also attended the ceremony.

In his speech at the ceremony, President Kocabıçak stated that he sincerely congratulates the staff of Malatya Turgut Özal University, who were entitled to receive the institutional accreditation certificate.

Expressing that reliable data management has become a strategic element in the digital transformation process, President Kocabıçak stated that supporting decision-making processes through the effective implementation of quality management systems increases the sustainability of quality assurance mechanisms. Informing the participants about the fact that the accreditations awarded within the scope of the Institutional Accreditation Program implemented by THEQC are registered on international platforms, primarily in Europe, he noted that the accreditations are registered in the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR) systems, and that this is an important indicator supporting the international recognition of diplomas by demonstrating the compliance of quality assurance processes with European standards.

Kocabıçak emphasised that in order to successfully manage the change and transformation in higher education, it is of great importance for all stakeholders to meet around common goals, to adopt the understanding of continuous improvement, to strengthen the data-driven management approach, and to develop the quality culture as one of the fundamental elements of the institutional structure.
