THEQC In-Service Training on ECTS Calculation and Workload Analysis

A training program titled “ECTS Calculation and Workload Analysis” was organised by the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) within the scope of the 2026 In-Service Training Program.

The training, held on 30 April 2026, with the participation of the THEQC staff, was delivered by Prof. Hasan Çakır from Gazi University Faculty of Education. The training aimed to contribute to the development of institutional capacity regarding quality assurance in higher education.

Within the scope of the training, topics such as the importance of the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) for the higher education system, the value it adds to students, how ECTS is and should be calculated, and workload analysis were discussed.
