THEQC and PNQAHE Sign a Memorandum of Understanding on Higher Education Quality Assurance

The Memorandum of Understanding, prepared to enhance institutional cooperation in the field of higher education quality assurance between the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) and the Pakistan Network of Quality Assurance in Higher Education (PNQAHE), was signed in İstanbul on 15 September 2026.

The aforementioned memorandum was officially signed by THEQC President Prof. Ümit Kocabıçak and PNQAHE President Dr Asiyah Bukhari.

The agreement aims to strengthen institutional relations in higher education quality assurance between Türkiye and Pakistan, increase mutual information and experience sharing, and bring joint initiatives to life.

Sustainable cooperation and expertise transfer

Within the framework of the signed memorandum, the objectives include sharing accumulated knowledge and best practice examples in higher education from both countries, supporting inter-institutional expertise transfer, and establishing long-term, sustainable cooperation mechanisms.

Furthermore, the goals encompass carrying out joint activities that will encourage mutual learning in the field of quality assurance and spreading a culture of quality throughout the higher education systems of both countries.

This step, which carries the dialogue between the two institutions to a more advanced dimension, is anticipated to make a significant contribution to developing permanent and results-oriented collaborations between Türkiye and Pakistan.
