President Kocabıçak Attends the 21st International Congress on Research in Education Held at Amasya University

Prof. Ümit Kocabıçak, President of the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC), attended the 21st International Congress on Research in Education, organised in collaboration with the International Association of Educational Researchers (ULEAD) and Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University.

President Kocabıçak participated as an invited speaker at the congress, which was hosted by Amasya University, on 8 June 2026. Delivering the keynote presentation of the congress, held this year under the theme “Sustainable Quality Culture in Education and Educational Research: Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence”, Prof. Kocabıçak shared his evaluations regarding quality assurance and accreditation processes in higher education, as well as THEQCs activities.

During the opening program, Prof. Ahmet Hakkı Turabi, Rector of Amasya University, Prof. Dinçay Köksal, Congress Chair, and Bekdemir İşbilir, Deputy Mayor of Amasya, delivered their speeches.

As part of the opening program, a mini-concert was also presented by Assoc. Prof. Erkan Demirtaş and Assoc. Prof. Ali Bilici, the faculty members of Amasya University, Faculty of Education.

Within the scope of the congress, President Kocabıçak also visited the exhibition prepared by the Department of Cartoon and Animation of the Hattat Hamdullah Faculty of Fine Arts, which was opened as part of Amasya University’s 20th-anniversary events.
