President Kocabıçak Delivers a Keynote Speech at the 2025 International Conference on Quality in Azerbaijan

Prof. Ümit Kocabıçak, President of the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC), delivered a keynote speech at the 2025 International Conference on Quality (ICQH), held at the Azerbaijan Pedagogical State University.

President Kocabıçak made a presentation on “The Importance of Accreditations and the Impact of Artificial Intelligence” at the conference held on November 27-28, 2025. Highlighting the importance of institutional accreditation and program accreditation for international visibility, recognition and equivalence, he said that education plans should be reviewed by taking into account the effects of artificial intelligence on the business world and professions.

President Kocabıçak held meetings with university rectors from Türkiye, the TRNC and Azerbaijan. He visited the Türkiye-Azerbaijan University with the guidance of Rector Vilayet Veliyev, who provided detailed information about the university.

Together with Tural Ahmadov, President of the Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (AQAE), President Kocabıçak also visited Emin Amrullayev, Minister of Science and Education of Azerbaijan. During the visit, they discussed possible cooperation opportunities on quality and accreditation issues with Minister Amrullayev.

Within the scope of his program in Azerbaijan, President Kocabıçak also visited Prof. Birol Akgün, the Ambassador of Türkiye to Baku, at his office.
