President Kocabıçak Speaks on “The Importance of Accreditations and the Impact of Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education” at Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University
Prof. Ümit Kocabıçak, President of the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC), gave a speech at the conference on “The Importance of Accreditations and the Impact of Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education” at Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University on 11 July 2025.
The university’s managers/directors, as well as the academic and administrative staff, attended the conference held at the Rectorate Conference Hall of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University.
Prof. Recai Doğan, Vice Rector, stated that the university approaches the accreditation process not only as a technical evaluation, but also as part of the institutional identity, vision and responsibility towards society. Emphasising that quality assurance is not limited to documents and forms, he stated that this process is a concrete indicator of the institution’s will to recognise, develop and advance itself. Stating that the university continues its accreditation processes both on a program basis and at the institutional level with determination, Prof. Doğan stated that all academic and administrative units contributed effectively to this process.
President Kocabıçak provided comprehensive information about the scope of the program and institutional accreditations in higher education institutions, the functioning of quality assurance systems, the impact of artificial intelligence technologies on these processes and the activities carried out by THEQC.
He stated that the inclusion of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University in the institutional accreditation process will strengthen the quality culture of the university.
The conference ended with the presentation of a certificate of appreciation and a commemorative photo shoot.
