THEQC Organises the 2025 Entry-Level Evaluator Training
The Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) organised “the Entry-level Evaluator Training” for evaluators to be assigned to evaluation teams of higher education institutions in 2025.
Prof. Ümit Kocabıçak, THEQC President, gave the opening speech of the training held online on 9 July 2025. He stated that the training, which was the first step of the evaluator trainings, would cover basic information about THEQC and quality assurance in higher education and what the evaluators should do during site visits, and that the participants of the training would not only take part in the evaluator pool but would also make important contributions to quality assurance work at universities.
THEQC experts, namely Prof. Yunus Nadi Yüksek, Prof. Hüseyin Ağır, Assoc. Prof. Resul Telli, and Res. Asst. Sena Çatal, explained in detail the basic conceptual information about THEQC, quality assurance system in higher education, THEQC’s evaluation processes, duties, responsibilities and behavioural dimensions of the evaluation team, maturity levels of the THEQC rubric, and accreditation criteria.
One day-long training ended with a question-and-answer session.
