Quality Ambassador Workshop (QAW’25) was held by the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) Students Commission for the students who were entitled to become quality ambassadors by participating in the quality ambassador training program.
169 students from several higher education institutions were invited to the workshop that was held on 29 May 2025 to have students acquire the knowledge and skills about the functioning of THEQC’s evaluation programs and prepare them for the THEQC Evaluator Training in 2025. Assoc. Prof. Songül Omur, Academic Coordinator of THEQC Students Commission, coordinated the workshop in which Commission members Fatma Derya Arıkan, Kadir Özkan, Eda Eren, Enes Talha Kılıçarslan, Elif Sude Köse, Gizem Şahin, Hilal Tanrıverdi, İremnur Aydın, İsmail Uzunel, and Sude Karabulut served as moderators. Moderator training was organised for the Commission member peer trainers to prepare them for the workshop more effectively.
At the beginning of the workshop, Assoc. Prof. Songül Omur started the workshop by giving information about the purpose of the workshop and the THEQC Rubric. Subsequently, the participants were divided into five virtual classrooms and participated in interactive activities related to the use of the THEQC Rubric through the fictional simulation activity named “Venus University”, the assessment of an ISER, the works of the evaluation teams, the issues to be considered in the processes, and the report writing for seven hours in total.
As a result of the assessments to be made by the Students Commission, students who become successful in the workshop program will be entitled to receive a certificate of participation.
