Institutional Accreditation Certificate Presented to Kocaeli University

Prof. Ümit Kocabıçak, President of the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) presented the Institutional Accreditation Certificate to Kocaeli University at a ceremony within the scope of the 2024 Institutional Accreditation Program conducted by THEQC.

The ceremony held on 26 May 2025 in the Senate Hall of the university was attended by President Ümit Kocabıçak, Kocaeli University Rector Prof. Nuh Zafer Cantürk and university senate members.

President Kocabıçak made a presentation on “The Importance of Quality Assurance Systems and Accreditations in Higher Education” at the ceremony. In his presentation, Kocabıçak talked about the importance of institutional accreditation and program accreditations and focused on what should be done to establish a sustainable quality assurance approach in higher education and to spread the quality culture.

Rector Nuh Zafer Cantürk also gave a speech, thanking all the stakeholders of the university who contributed to the process of obtaining the institutional accreditation certificate.

After the presentation, President Kocabıçak presented the accreditation certificate to Prof. Nuh Zafer Cantürk, Rector of the university.
