Sakarya University of Applied Sciences Receives the Institutional Accreditation Certificate

Prof. Ümit Kocabıçak, President of the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC), presented the Institutional Accreditation Certificate of Sakarya University of Applied Sciences (SUBÜ) to Prof. Mehmet Sarıbıyık, the Rector of SUBÜ, within the scope of the 2024 Institutional Accreditation Program.

The governing body, unit managers, faculty members and administrative staff of the university attended the ceremony held at SUBU Rectorate Conference Hall on 13 May 2025.

President Kocabıçak made a presentation on “The Importance of Quality Assurance Systems and Accreditations in Higher Education” at the conference. In his presentation, he talked about issues, such as the current status of the quality assurance system in higher education in Türkiye and the world, the importance of program accreditation and institutional accreditation for universities.

Rector Sarıbıyık also gave a speech and stated that THEQC served as a compass for them in the field of quality assurance in higher education and that they made their processes more transparent, more systematic and more sustainable.
