Main Problems Encountered in the Institutional Self-Evaluation Report Writing Discussed in a Q&A Meeting
The Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) organised a Q&A meeting to improve the processes of writing the Institutional Self-Evaluation Report (ISER), which is a crucial part of the quality assurance system in higher education.
Research Assistant Sena Çatal, responsible for the internal evaluation, planning and reporting sub-process of THEQC, made a presentation on the main problems encountered in the writing of the ISERs and answered the questions from HEIs’ quality commissions at the online meeting held on 18 February 2025. Prof. Mustafa Çufalı, THEQC Vice-President; THEQC experts, namely Prof. İlyas Gökhan, Prof. Yunus Nadi Yüksek, Prof. Hüseyin Ağır, Assoc. Prof. Songül Omur, Mustafa Çolak, Asst. Prof. Çiğdem Sazak Turgut, Asst. Prof. Ayşegül Kozak Çakır, Asst. Prof. Sibel Orhan Yıldız, Dr Resul Telli, and the representatives of HEIs’ quality commissions attended the meeting. During the meeting, questions previously submitted to THEQC by the quality commissions were also answered.
