Working Visit from the Azerbaijani Education Quality Assurance Agency (TKTA) to THEQC

Assoc. Prof. Samir Guliyev, the Azerbaijani Education Quality Assurance Agency’s (TKTA) Head of the Accreditation and Licensing Unit at the Education Quality Assurance, paid a working visit to the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) to exchange information, benefit from THEQC’s experience and conduct work observation activities.
During the visit paid on 17-18 December 2024 as a part of agreements between THEQC and TKTA, Assoc. Prof. Guliyev and the THEQC experts had meetings to share information and experience. During the meetings, topics such as external evaluation and accreditation processes of higher education institutions in Türkiye, THEQC’s experience in the membership process of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), and efforts to internalise and disseminate the quality assurance culture in higher education institutions were discussed.
In addition, the functioning of THEQC’s internal quality system and practices to increase student involvement in quality assurance processes were among the important topics of the meetings. The visit is expected to strengthen collaboration between THEQC and TKTA and contribute to quality assurance in higher education.
