THEQC’s Attendance at the 2024 European Quality Assurance Forum

The Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) representatives attended the 2024 European Quality Assurance Forum (EQAF) organised at the University of Twente in Holland on 14-16 November 2024.

Prof. Ümit Kocabıçak, THEQC President, and Asst. Prof. Ayşegül Kozak Çakır, THEQC International Relations Coordinator, attended the forum in which Asst. Prof. Kozak Çakır presented an analytical paper on “Strengthening Quality Assurance through Interdisciplinary Collaboration and Societal Engagement: A Longitudinal Study on Service to Society Activities of Turkish Universities.” In addition, THEQC Students Commission made a practice-oriented presentation on “Innovative Student-Centred Quality Assurance Practices in Higher Education: Insights from Higher Education Quality Assurance in Türkiye.”

Participation in EQAF 2024 provided THEQC with the opportunity to closely follow the latest developments in quality assurance practices in Europe and the world. It also provided a valuable networking environment to develop cooperation with international agencies and quality assurance organisations. The event promoted Türkiye’s innovative contributions in the field of quality assurance and allowed THEQC to gain important insights into global trends to further develop its strategies and initiatives.
