Prof. Muhsin Kar, THEQC President, Attends the Anatolian University Association (AÜB) Experience-sharing Meeting on Institutional Accreditation Process

“The Anatolian University Association (AÜB) Experience-sharing Meeting on Institutional Accreditation Process” was held at İnönü University in Malatya, with the participation of Prof. Muhsin Kar, President of the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC); Prof. Mustafa Çufalı, Vice-President of THEQC, and representatives from thirteen universities, the AÜB members.

In the meeting, the member universities of the Association and the universities holding the Institutional Accreditation Certificate granted by THEQC gave information about quality assurance and accreditation processes. Participants also gave explanatory information to the questions of university representatives regarding the institutional accreditation process and quality works.

Prof. Ahmet Kızılay, Rector of İnönü University, stated that they had been preparing for the quality assurance and accreditation processes since 2018, had included all units in the process, and it was very important that the understanding of continuous improvement became a corporate culture. Prof. Vatan Karakaya, the Rector of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, informed the participants about the Integrated Quality Management and Ahi Competence-Based Education Program (AYDEP). Rector Karakaya stated that the digital solution they developed with an understanding based on competence, especially with AYDEP, supported the academic staff and partially created workload for them.

The Rectors of higher education institutions examined the settlement mound of Arslantepe, which was enrolled in the UNESCO World Heritage List one year ago, after the meeting attended by representatives from Malatya İnönü University, Kayseri University, Kayseri Erciyes University, Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University, Sivas University of Science and Technology, Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, Yozgat Bozok University, Ardahan University, Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University, Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University, and Amasya University.
